Privacy Policy

This privacy policy (the “policy”) sets out the principles and practices governing iJudicate Inc.’s (“we” or “us”) collection, use and disclosure of personal information from users of our publicly available websites (“you”). Personal information means any information about an identifiable individual, such as your name, home address, email address and telephone number.

This policy does not apply to certain online services that may be accessed by login through our websites, which are provided through application programming interfaces or which are subject to a fee, all of which are governed by a separate privacy policy. Our websites may contain links to other websites that we do not operate. Your access or use of such websites will be governed by their privacy policies. We disclaim any responsibility or liability for their collection, use or disclosure of personal information.

By accessing or using any of our websites, you consent to our collection, use and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with this policy. If you do not wish to consent, you must not use any of our websites.

We collect, use and disclose the following personal information about you when you browse any of our websites:

  • We collect usage data such as your IP address, browser and operating system type and version, pages you visit, the time, date and duration of your visit, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data in order to monitor the use of our website, maintain its integrity and availability and develop improvements.
  • We use cookies (small files that are stored on the computer or device you use for browsing) in order to provide certain functions on our websites, such as remembering your preferences, tracking usage patterns or caching content for your subsequent visits. You may set your browser to refuse cookies, but that may interfere with the proper operation of our websites.
  • We use Google Analytics to track, monitor and report on usage of our websites. Google Analytics collects personal information which may be used in connection with other Google services, including personalization of advertisements. For certain browsers, you can elect to opt out of Google Analytics by downloading a browser add-on

If you use our contact form, we collect the information described in that form to respond to your enquiries and otherwise communicate with you. If you choose to join our mailing list, we will also share your information with Mailchimp, our mailing list service provider to send you periodic e-mails. For further details on how Mailchimp collects and uses personal information, to opt out of Mailchimp’s data analytics or to request the deletion of personal information held by Mailchimp, please visit the Mailchimp website. If you request the deletion of your personal information, you will cease to receive periodic e-mails through our mailing list.

We may also use, disclose or transfer your personal information:

  • in connection with an actual or prospective merger, amalgamation, share sale, asset sale, financing, reorganization or other corporate transaction, including in connection with bankruptcy, dissolution, liquidation, or similar proceedings;
  • if and to the extent required to comply with a legal obligation, to assert or defend a claim, to resolve disputes, to protect or defend the rights or assets of us, our service providers or other users, to investigate or prevent illegal, improper or wrongful actions on or through our websites, as required by applicable law or in any other manner or for any other purpose for which we have obtained your consent.

We retain personal information for so long as reasonably required: (a) for the purposes for which it was collected, including for business continuity and data recovery purposes; and/or (b) to the extent we must do so to comply with legal obligations, including compliance with applicable law.

We will take commercial reasonable steps to safeguard your personal information. However, as no security measures are infallible, we cannot and do not guarantee absolute security.

We currently store personal information in Canada. However, we reserve the right to store personal information in other jurisdictions that do not have privacy legislation similar to that found in Canada, and consequently such personal information in such jurisdictions may be accessed pursuant to the laws of those jurisdictions.

You may request access to your personal information in our possession or control by contacting us. We will provide such access subject to any limitations or prohibitions of applicable law. If any such information requires correction, please let us know and we will promptly correct it. We use reasonable measures to keep such information accurate and up to date but rely on you for most updates. If your contact information or other details have changed, please let us know.

Changes to this policy will be posted on our websites. It is your responsibility to review this policy from time to time for changes. Your continued use of any of our websites means that you accept and agree to be bound by such changes.
